Parking Options in the Community

To help QEII staff find independent off-site parking options, here is a list of additional off-site hourly/daily/monthly parking options in the area:

HRM Monthly Commuter Parking Permit

Halifax Regional Municipality offers several different types of on-street parking permits, including a Monthly Commuter Parking Permit. These are available to any individual through an online application on a first-come, first-served basis.

Permit holders can park in "No Parking Except by Permit" spaces on the street for which the permit is issued. The permits are valid for one calendar month. Permit holders are required to purchase a permit each month. Permits for the following month go on sale at 7 a.m. on the 15th of the month (or the next business day if the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday).

The permit cost depends on the parking zone and ranges from $50-$70/month in the QEII campus area. Parking Zones near the Victoria General Campus: Zone 8

To apply for a monthly commuter permit, visit Parking Permits in the Transportation/Parking area of the HRM website.
