Land Acknowledgement

Partners for Care and all its sites are located in and outside of Kjipuktuk / Halifax, in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. We acknowledge the Mi’kmaq as the original caretakers of this land and give thanks for the land, waters, and resources that continue to sustain us all. We honour the Treaties of Peace and Friendship, which continue to guide our shared relationships and responsibilities. This acknowledgement is one of many steps toward reconciliation.
